Advanced technology has made our lives and everyday transactions more convenient and efficient. In the past when people purchased goods in the store, cash or a credit card was necessary for the completion of the transaction. Today, however, it is no longer needed to even carry a credit card, and payments could be done by a scan of a one’s fingerprint with the use of services like Apple Pay (web. 19 October 2015) and Samsung Pay (web. 19 October 2015).
Elmer Holmes Bobst Library is the biggest among eleven supporting libraries in New York University , and according to its website services ten thousand visitors per day, when classes are in session (web. February 2015). Entrance to the library is possible with the use of an NYU plastic ID card or in case of NYU Alumni, with a corresponding card. There are other populations that might be granted an entrance to the library, including, but not limited to Friends of Bobst Library (web. February 2015). Also, in most cases, access is granted by the use of the aforementioned card.
