본문내용

⊙After the 9.11 terror, George W. Bush proclaimed the start of a global war on terror. He says U.S military force need to go to Middle East for against terrors. So, he and his supporters insist to give more power to the commander like wartime.
⊙However, most democrats say Bush’s approach to the war on terror might create more terrorists. They say the U.S. needs to change course radically. They argued that success will come through reestablishing the U.S’s moral authority and ideological appeal instead of using the military force.

<중 략>

⊙One possibility to be considered today is the victory of al Qaeda.
⊙Osama Bin Laden and his cohorts have an agreed theory of victory and path to get there.
*To drive the U.S out of the Muslim lands, topple the region’s current rulers and establish Islamic authority under a new caliphate.
*”provoke and bait” They will drive the U.S. into bleeding wars on Muslim lands.
┕>The U.S will eventually leave the Middle East just as the Soviet Union did after the mujahideen defeated in Afghanistan. After the U.S. leaves the Middle East, Osama Bin Laden will return the idealised state of Arabia at that time of the Prophet Muhammad.
