3. Results & Discussion
This study examined the influence of hardiness on the cognitive appraisal of stressor after a laboratory acute stress. Hardiness (Kobasa, 1979) is a personality trait that is composed of three subcomponents: commitment, control, and challenge. A number of preceding studies have reported that hardiness decreases life events stress and the negative appraisal of these events, but in most of these cases, a life events scale was used to measure stress.
