Assisted suicide is suicide an action committed by someone with assistance from others to end suffering mainly from physical illness, such as cancer, physical injuries, and so on.
It is often confused with euthanasia or a "mercy killing," but there are some major differences.
Assisted suicide is a practice that one individual provides a patient with simple assistance, but where the individual brings about their own death.
For example a physician provides a prescription for a lethal dose of medication and the patient is the one who actually intends to use to end his or her own life.
In other words, Physician will prescribe usually a pill or a lethal injection but never will directly engage in patient’s death.
The patient will be the only one who administrates the treatment. However, Euthanasia is the direct killing of another person in order to relieve urgent suffering.
