2. Literature Review
With the increasing importance of English as International Language (EIL), recent English education is emphasizing the improvement of English communicative competence in order to promptly meet the needs of the times. To reach this goal, native English Speaking teachers have been placed in public and private schools.
Currently, Team Teaching method in English class between Korean instructors and native speaking assistant instructors has been expanding widely over the country. Although it is well-known that team-teaching has many advantages for students and teachers, the outcome of team-teaching has not been so successful.
The purpose of this project is to find ways to improve team-teaching method to maximize the effectiveness that it can bring out. Since Team-teaching in English education is widely common, it's likely to happen for all of us who are attending this "Theory of English Education" class when they are ready to put your instructions into practice. Therefore it is highly important to prepare the strategies to make team-teaching effective. This is the reason why we select Team-teaching for our final project. Throughout our project, we will cover the current situation and issues of team-teaching and finally the suggestions for team-teaching.
