As Korea is becoming more economically advanced nation, not only her economical role has been emphasized, but also the ideas of ‘social justice’, ‘distribution’, and ‘public interest’ recently has expanded into the public discourse. Indeed, in September 30th 2011, Korean government has recently introduced ‘The Public Interest Disclosure Act’ which aims to attract and facilitate the insider (of an organization) to secretly speak out on the illegal activities by his/her organization which would cause hazardous toward the public. For the social cognition class project, our group will not only present the basic principles of the public interest disclosure act, but also we will concentrate on the social cognition aspect of the act and how it is relevant to our course materials.
