1) What is E-Land?
The E-land Group is the first and largest integrated fashion- retail company by revenues in Korea. The Group is a market innovator, creator and leader whereby the accumulated specialist know-how in fashion business is strategically integrated with its creative approach to retail business.
Established 1980, E-land Group got over the IMF period in 1997, a huge financial turmoil in South Korea, in terms of “efficient restructuring of business”, “epoch-making improvement in financial sector”, and “innovation in administrative system.”, and then adapted “knowledge management, the cornerstone to reap to next stage of development, thereby achieving steep growth as compared to other Korean competitors.
As a consequence of these activities, E-land now came to be fashion-retail giant, with annual sales record as much 4.2 trillion KRW on average and 4.2 trillion KRW amount of asset. Through this successful case of E-land group, the scope of this report focuses on administrative strategy of E-land, its related culture and some of attributes what other firms need to benchmark.
