■ Exercise 1 - PROCEDURE
1. Set up module. Before inserting the Lowpass Audio Filter in to the Enclosure / Supply Regulator, place the COUPLING switch (mounted on the circuit board) in the AC position.Make sure that all OUTPUT LEVEL and GAIN controls are placed in their respective MIN and CAL positions, and power up the equipment.
2. Make the following adjustments on the Dual Function Generator : Channel A FUNCTION : Sine wave FREQUENCY : 4 kHz ATTENUATOR : 0 dB OUTPUT LEVEL : MIN Channel b FUNCTION : Sine wave FREQUENCY : 15 kHz ATTENUATOR : 0 dB OUTPUT LEVEL : MIN
3. Refer to Figure 2-8 and make folowing connections:- Install a BNC T-connector on OUTPUT A of the Dual Function Generator.- Connect the modules as shown.
4. Set up the Spectrum Analyzer. Make the following adjustments: INPUT : 1MΩ MAXIMUM INPUT : 30 dBm FREQUENCY RANGE : 0-30 MHz FREQUENCY SPAN : 10 kHz/V OUTPUT LEVEL : CAL OUTPUT SCALE : LOGThe oscilloscope display should now resemble Figure 2-10.
