본문내용

1. Impression of each statues
Gilt-bronze Avalokitesvara
This Avalokitesvara statue was made in Goryeo period, 14 century. This Avalokitesvara looks calm and at ease because of its sitting posture. The name of this posture is `Yoonwangjwah` ,which means sitting in `Gaboojwah` with standing right knee ,putting right hand naturally and touching ground with left hand. `Yoonwangjwah` is the posture of King Jeonryunsung, who is an ideal king in India legend. This Avalokitesvara looks exotic because of its posture and gorgeous accessories as if it is from indian king`s tomb or temple.

Seated Iron Buddha Statue
This Buddha statue was made in Goryeo period, 10 century. To speak about this statue, it is totally awkward.
First, its body shape is not proportioned. Its head is too big and waist is too thin to its body shape.
