The anatomy of the spine has 3 major region: the cervical, the thoracic, and the lumbar spine. Below the lumbar region are two other sections: the sacrum and coccyx bones.
the spinal Column is made up of five section and consist of 33 bone known as vertebrae. Cushion-like discs separate the first 24 vertebra bones, giving the spinal the ability to bend and flex.

Cervical Vertebrae (C1 – C7)
The cervical spine is further divided into two parts; the upper cervical region (C1 and C2), and the lower cervical region (C3 through C7). C1 is termed the Atlas and C2 the Axis. The Occiput (CO), also known as the Occipital Bone, is a flat bone that forms the back of the head.
