“Failure of ‘imagination’ led to 9/11.”
In July 2004, Thomas Kean, Chairman of The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, stated. At that time, nobody could predict that 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States and also nobody could imagine the application of hijacked aircraft as ‘weapons of mass destruction’ by means of ballistic collision with the World Trade Center. Nearly seven years after the Sept. 11 attacks, the hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives expended in the name of the war on terror make a single, important question: Are we safer?
Actually, the world is now at the crucial crossroads in the 21st century. Political terrorism and economic deprivation are the key factors that are shaking each and every country in the world. In this situation, each country`s diplomatic strategy is very important.
