교육의 능률을 향상시키기 위해 필요한 요소들에
기본 지식의 가르침이 차지하는 정도가 어느 정도인지에 관한 논의.

배경지식을 가르치는 것이 더 중요한가, 아니면 창의력 신장이 더 중요한가?
All the countries of the world have their own education system and the governments consider where to put more values on between developing mental skills and informing knowledge in education. It is true that balancing between those is not easy but any of these aspects should not be underrated. People have argued about this matter since long time ago yet they have never consented unanimously. Many groups of students who have grown up in different countries show the results of various educational environments. The students who were trained to use their mental skills are outstanding in self-expression while the students encouraged in obtaining as much knowledge as possible are rather erudite compare to the previously stated students. It is pretty meaningless to decide one is superior to the other since two of them are closely connected to each other. However, you can judge about which one is supposed to be fundamental. Mostly, it is much easier to evaluate an academic improvement of one student when the standard of judgment is related to knowledge rather than mental skills which are abstract to deal with. Not only to estimate academic achievements without difficulties, but also to cultivate more competent students, knowledge-focused education is necessary.
