I’ve started to read the book “Nudge” as homework for financial management, but the concept of this book was really shock to me. This book contradicts the traditional concept of economics and people’s behavior, and suggests that the market is not rational in many cases.

• [Traditional economists] They believe the market is efficient and people are rational. If a certain situation is given to a person, he will rationally think and behave what is most beneficial to him. (However they always assume all the other conditions are stable. They just care what they want to see; “Ceteria Paribus”)

• [Nudge] In this book “Nudge”, authors point out that in many real cases people are not rational, so the result of one’s behavior can trigger something very different from our estimation.... (줄임)
