2차 Solar cell인 CIGS Thin Film Solar Cell 에 관한
structure, mechnism IN ENGLISH !!!
** Structure of a CIGS thin-film solar cell
** how it works
The demand for solarcell is growing rapidly. Because, as u know, photovoltaic solarcells are a very attractive source of clean energy. At present, the photovoltaic industry primarily uses wafers of single-crystal and polycrystalline silicon, which generally have a wafer thickness in the range of 150 to 330 micrometers. The wafers must go through several processing steps and then be integrated into a module. The high material and processing costs make these modules relatively expensive. Thin-film solar cell technology is a promising alternative to silicon solar cell tech. popular today in many applications. CIGS das become one of the leaders in this field. its large optical absorption coefficient, due to a direct energy gap, permits the use of thin layers(1 to 2 micrometers) of active material. CIGS solar cells are also known for their long-term stability. all these qualities have brought CIGS-based devices to the forefront in solar cell applications.
