In 2005 Shanda Interactive introduced the EZ Center platform, a unified software solution on top of their service platform that integrates entertainment and informational content from the Internet and provides users access to online content through a user friendly interface.
EZ Center content includes music, literature, movies, radio, finance, e-commerce, travel, news and educational programs.
There are currently nearly 200,000 EZ Pods in the Chinese market participating in the initial testing period, which is free of charge. SNDA looks to begin generating subscription revenue from the EZ in late 2007 or early 2008.
