우선 영문으로 된 레포트이다보니 한국어로 된 레포트하고는 성격이 조금 다를것 같습니다.

1917부터 1948년 까지의 시오니스트 운동이 이스라엘 건국에 어떤 영향을 끼쳤는지를 조사한 레포트로서, 영문으로 되어 있는만큼 주로 원서를 참고 하였고 참고문헌을 세세하게 달아놓은 점이 특징입니다. 아무래도 미국인 교수님은 표절에 매우 깐깐하셔서 원서의 문구에서 두단어만 같아도 표절 혐의(?)^^;;를 받는데 그걸위해 꼼꼼히 적어놓았습니다.

저 개인적으로는 시오니스트 운동과 역사적 배경이 합해져서 이스라엘 탄생이 있었다고 적었는데, 그 반대의견도 가능하리라고 봅니다. 유대인에 대한 이슬람국가의 핍박과 탄압이 더 주요한 원인이었다고 볼수도 있는것이죠^^

There are several factors that made it possible to establish an Israeli state. However, in this writer’s view the Zionism and the Zionist movement were the most influential in supporting and in the creation of an Israeli establishment. The Zionist and the Zionism movement able to transform a ‘national home’ for Jews into an Israeli state because they let the Israeli people forward Palestine territory and let them recognize their own desire to make their homeland


The start of ‘the Zionism’ was founded by Herzl. When he went to France to gather news from Austria, he witnessed ‘the Dreyfus Affair’ and it brought on a change in him. At that time, European countries did have assimilation polices and tried to make Jews assimilate to European. Almost all of Jews got used to European culture, law, economy and etc by these assimilation polished. The shock from ‘the Dreyfus Affair’ was a prominent factor which encouraged by Herzl to create ‘The Zionism’ and published ‘Jewish state’-an optimistic scenario at 1896. In addition, he tried to spread and popularize ‘the Zionism’. He also published ‘Old New Land’ in 1902. Through these novels, he included detailed ideas about how he saw the future of the state’s political structure, immigration, fundraising, diplomatic relations, social laws and relations
