Instead of focusing on the action and special effect, this movie caught my heart by the “war of word and brain”; that is, the power and wit involved in their negotiation, and the tense and thrill come up with the negotiation.
In this movie, I saw that negotiation exist in almost every part of our life. It can be very tiny, like when Sabian try to talk his wife out of the bathroom or his daughter off the phone; it also can be very fatal, just like what the hostage negotiator Danny did. From the beginning, the situation: an armed man has taken hostages and is threatening to kill them if his demands are not met. Armed top hostage negotiator of the Chicago Police Department Danny was sent in to demand his surrender down. This intriguing scene lays the foundation for a thrilling battle of wits, and a winning thriller.
