The first impression I got when I just arrived at Gard de Nord station in Paris was gloomy and smoky. Raindrops were hitting the window softly and the rail was covered with yellow and smoky half-burnt cigarettes. I am not sure what I expect to see and learn in Paris. It was totally different to be in Paris from London. In London, I could communicate with people with English, but I couldn't in Paris. It was really strange and even queer when they speak in French and I didn't understand anything. The sound just howled at my ears strangely.
젨젨젨젨젨젨 As soon as getting out of the station, I lost the direction. I couldn뭪 find where I am even though I had a map and the address of the hotel I had booked. It was already over 8 p.m. It should be getting darker, but it wasn뭪 fortunately. The street might have been crowded. It was Sunday night and the station was a big and main one in Paris, but I couldn뭪 anyone who I could ask for help. It feels like I was truly there in the city of the Phantom of the Opera. It looked like a captured and abandoned city. I could not find anyone and anything on the street, most of shops are closed and dark.
